Bumblebee impasto
Tanya Stefanovich
£750
Impasto series.
The central focus of the painting is the bumblebee, which is portrayed in intricate detail using thick brushstrokes and layers of paint. The bee’s fuzzy body and delicate wings are rendered with a three-dimensional quality, giving it a lifelike appearance. The use of impasto technique allows the viewer to almost feel the texture of the bee’s body and the fine lines of its wings.
The background is a lush green, evoking a sense of natural vibrancy. The use of impasto brushwork in the background adds a sense of movement and energy, suggesting the presence of foliage and leaves. The variations in green tones give the background depth and dimension, enhancing the visual contrast with the bee and the flower.
